Medical Marvel
It just amazes me how we humans have developed and improvised our ways of living, thinking and the achievements we have done in innovating ourselves, its marvelous and incredible…
Today a medical miracle has been revealed -- an Australian teenager “Demi Brennan” is believed to be the first person in the world to completely accept a donated organ to the extent where her immune system entirely changed.
Demi Brennan suffered severe liver damage and had a transplant at the age of nine in 2001. After several months her doctors at the Hospital were shocked to discover her blood type had changed to match the blood type of her deceased male donor. Her blood group has changed from O –ve to O +ve … what an amazing life saving outcome??? Specialists found that stem cells from the donor liver had penetrated her bone marrow, effectively resulting in a naturally-occurring bone marrow transplant… she is the only patient who was able to come off the immunosuppressant drugs which most of the transplant patient have to take for life long so that their body would not reject the new organ…
It is a big puzzle for her and her family and the doctor’s who treated her… now the scientists are working on this miraculous puzzle to improvise it so that by doing will improve treatments and outcomes for other transplant patients.
"Medical miracle is just not an outcome rather a new beginning …"
Hate group Vultures…
Famous hollywood actor Heath ledger’s death shocked hollywood as well as his fans… Its a shame that we lost a talented upcoming young actor… am not much of a Ledger fan… but when I read today’s paper I was in for a real shock. It says …
“A US CHURCH described as a "hate group" has promised to form a picket at Heath Ledger's funeral because he played a gay cowboy role in the film “Brokeback Mountain”… and also issued a homophobic statement which said the Australian actor, who was found dead yesterday, was now in hell”.
What sort of church goer’s are they?? Where is the humanity and normal sense of courtesy that God asked us to follow?? Have people lost there minds?? Instead of thinking about Heath Ledger’s after life it would be more sensible to think about his near and dear’s feelings and the pain that they are going thro’ … We can’t blame him for playing a gay cowboy role… For playing that role he was nominated for Oscar award…come on people put on your listening ears and activate your thinking brain … he is an actor, as long as he is happy in playing a role and as long as he is paid… what is the damn problem?? Acting is his career and his life long dream… which he had achieved in a very short period… I have never heard any GOD preaching that working hard to achieve one’s dream is a sin… If people opt to be homosexual that’s their way of living their life which we have to respect … I don’t know whether GOD approves these hate group's way of hurting ones feeling…
I don’t know anything about Heaven or Hell but am sure that I know one thing that these people are the “Vultures of Earth”…

Low acts at high seas….
Last week the events in the southern ocean have been making headlines around the world. The anti-whaling activists terrorizing the Japanese whaling ship and their crew have been taken hostage…and the two countries (Australia & Japan) were trying to resolve the situation smoothly…
This is quite a scene which happens every year, the anti whaling people trying to stop Japanese from whaling the endangered species …but Japanese say that they are slaying the whales for some research purpose(GOD only know what research these people are doing). But this time the protest has gone way too far…2 anti whaling activists (Benjamin Potts, 28, of Sydney, and Giles Lane, 35, from Britain) from the Australian ship Steve Irwin boarded the Japanese ship Yushin Maru illegally to hand over a letter of protest and the crew was taken hostage after 3 days of diplomatic talks the 2 activist were returned back to their ship…
I just have a question for those activists, what were they thinking when they jumped over a ship illegally and what did they prove by damaging the Japanese ship? Were they nuts? Have the cold Antarctic weather froze their thinking capability?? I just couldn’t understand these people’s concept they are very much concerned about the whales but what about their own safety and the safety of the Japanese ship crew members?? What did they achieve by doing this, except straining the relationship between the two countries… Is it really worth it?? There are many peaceful and legal ways which can be followed to prevent whaling… what if the Japanese say that kangaroo’s are only found in Australia so that we are not supposed to consume kangaroo meat?? Would we listen to them… I don’t see any of these activists in front of any slaughter house aren’t the other animals deserved to live??? It doesn’t mean that I am supporting the whalers, I am strongly against whaling but I am not approving the activists way of taking things into their own hands and worsening the situation…Would the crew members and the Captain of Steve Irwin have accepted if Japanese men damaged and boarded their ship illegally?? I don’t understand what they have achieved by this act of foolishness if they wanted to make headlines all over the world then they have achieved it… but still the whalers are whaling the endangered species…
"A human being is a part of the whole called by us universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feeling as something separated from the rest, a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty."

Three cheers...
"A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step."
~ Lao Tzu
"Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go. "
~ T. S. Eliot
The following proverb reminds me of the 2 Australian kayakers (James Castrission, 25, and Justin Jones, 24) who padded 3300Km across the tasman sea to New Plymouth on New Zealand’s West Coast, their 62 days of journey in rough seas ended today. The pair are thought to be the first to kayak across the Tasman, and have taken part in the longest two-man kayaking voyage ever. There were fears Jones would be unable to stand because of the deterioration to his leg muscles, which have not touched dry land in two months. No wonder their families, the local kayakers were happy to see them after 2 long months padding in the rough seas..
It just amazes me of their strong determination, their desire to achieve and the tremendous effort they put in to conquer their dream. Way to go guys…Three cheers for you…

Prioritizing substances
I am a resident in Australia-a wonderful, rare and unique place to live..here December and January are summer seasons unlike other countries..the temperature will rise drastically sometimes it goes to mid 40's...at this time of the year the country will face draught and the farmers suffer a lot...but this time it is raining, continuously pouring for 3 weeks...so the state where I live in some of the northern suburbs experience flooding and people are suffering without shelter, food, medical supplies lost most of thier livestock and they are cut out from the rest of the world and rescuers cant reach them b'coz of bad weather...The worst part is that the insurance will not cover the flood damage..I was feeling so bad for them and cud'nt imagine myself in their place...where as another state was having bushfire b'coz of hot temperature, the temperature there was 41 degree and almost 40 hecters of bush land was burnt..100's of fire fighters were fighting to control the blaze so I was waiting for the evening news to hear and see the footage..but I was in for a total disappointment... they were eager in telling about Nichol Kidman's(Hollywood actress) pregnancy and they headlined it as "Personal preferences" and then after couple of other news I heard what I wanted to hear...I was puzzled, have we really lost our sense or is it me nagging for nothing? what importance does it bring to us about the celebrities pregnancy...Is it of that importance that we have to hear it in the headlines?? so what are we teaching our children??what sort of example and future are we providing them??? It just reminds me of a quote:
"I'm very much in support of the free press, but the free press ought to be educational and informative. And I believe they have fallen down recently on that."

"The Mayonnaise jar and 2 cups of coffee"
When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours ina day are not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar and the 2 cups ofcoffee.A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in frontof him. When the class began, he wordlessly picked up a very large andempty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full They agreed that it was. The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar wasfull. They agreed it was.The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if thejar was full. The students responded with a unanimous "yes." The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar effectively filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed. "Now," said the professor as the laughter subsided, "I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things---God, your family, your children, your health, your friends and your favorite passions---and if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full. The pebbles are the other things that matter like yourjob, your house and your car. The sand is everything else---the small stuff. "If you put the sand in to the jar first," he continued, "there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff you will never have room for the things that are important to you." "Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play with your children. Spend time with your parents. Visit with grandparents.Take time to get medical checkups. Take your spouse out to dinner. Play another 18. There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal.Take care of the golf balls first---the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand." One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented. The professor smiled. "I'm glad you asked!" It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend."

New year resolution..
"Happy new year to me" imagine getting stranded to ur bed for continuous 3 days with pains..believe me its horrible..like everyone I was looking forward for the new year..but here comes my "FIBROMYALGIA" pains...out of no where....I am suffering from these pains for past 12 year....now for couple of years its like on and off....but out of the blue it got severe on Dec 31st and continued for couple more days...after ongoing physio and body massage I fell much better now, things are coming to normal phase....after a day or 2 I sat in front of my tele with a hot cup of tea and my mind wandering elsewhere and suddenly I realised Oh New year started but still I don't have a resolution for this wonderful special year...I am not much of a resolution person...I strongly believe that resolution can be taken anyday of the year as long as we keep up to it...but am sure about 1 thing my pains have given a serious thought about resolution and they have taken one...good luck for them....but am not in a hurry there is still 360 days by then I'll have one but for time being I am seriously laying plans to break my pains resolution...wish me luck..
