Brotherhood:

This happened around 4 months ago around the time I joined this job, had to go to a place called “Bathurst” which is around 157Kms from my place, a remote region for decommissioning servers; had been there a week ago for auditing. On that particular day of decommissioning around 6pm I was supposed to meet 2 of my co-workers at that customer place, I was the team lead for the day so had more responsibilities, around 6.05pm got into the facility was waiting for the drive tape people from a different organization to come and then the courier people who are supposed to take the decommissioned servers to Sydney. Except us all the other people were late, reached around 7.00pm. The servers had to be shut and routed so it took around 8.30pm to finish and then around 9.00pm w e started to remove the servers and the courier people were packing it accordingly around 10.00pm we finished our work and was on our way, one of my team member had to go to work early next morning so he left first now its just us we went to a service station and each of us bought some snacks and got into our cars and left, it was dark and at times it was so scary but the other co-worker was behind me all along until a point where we had to go 2 different ways my house was just 10Kms from that point, even though he could have gone leaving me behind he choose to stay behind and be there, to be more precise I don’t even know that person very well but the way he took care of me was so overwhelming, the very next morning when I went to work I thanked him for his brotherhood.
Is this what called as humanity/thoughtfulness/mankind…? Looking out for someone no matter whether they are strangers or friends. Indeed it was an act of benevolence.

Kindness can become its own motive. We are made kind by being kind.
